HP, Intel, and our partners have joined forces with Tech & Learning to bring you the new 2010 HP & Intel Digital Learning Event Series.
These unique, interactive forums are one-day events held throughout the United States. Each Digital Learning Event is an immersive experience that provides K-12 decision-makers with state-of-the-art technology solutions delivered in hands-on learning environments.
For the Teaching and Learning Track, sessions are hosted in Math, Science, Language Arts and Professional Development. This unique classroom environment lets you be a student for the day and experience compelling standards-based learning moments through seamless technology and curriculum integration!
For the Technology Track, IT decision-makers are encouraged to attend to learn more about cloud computing solutions, wired and wireless networking, and asset and data security for district infrastructures. There will be an elective time slot for you to attend one of the Teaching and Learning sessions.
At these Digital Learning Events, you will learn how technology-rich environments enrich students’ learning experiences, change the way teachers engage their classes, and help you build sustainable technology programs.
Teaching and Learning Track
Professional Development
Prepare educators to integrate technology and curriculum successfully into collaborative, student-centered learning environments.
Language Arts
Discover how to enhance student achievement and encourage critical thinking by integrating multi-media educational tools and technologies into literacy curriculum.
Science
Experience first-hand the technologies that make physics, chemistry, biology and other science classes more interactive.
Math
Immerse yourself in technologies that engage students and help them learn and apply new skills and concepts in math and engineering.

Technology Track
IT Executive Roundtable Room
This session will provide IT decision-makers with a closer look at building sustainable technology program through cloud computing infrastructure, wired and wireless networking, and asset and data security.
Leslie Wilson
President, One-to-One Institute
Ms. Wilson served US public education in seven school districts as executive director of curriculum and instruction, high school principal/ assistant principal, special education administrator/ teacher, and adventure-based counselor over a 31 year span. She was recruited to co-lead Michigan’s one-to-one teaching and learning initiative, Freedom to Learn (FTL), in 2003. She led the launch of the national not-for-profit One-to-One Institute (OTO), the next iteration of FTL, which is in its fourth year of operation. Since 2003, Ms. Wilson and her team have developed and implemented nation-wide policies, best practices and research around one-to-one teaching and learning. One-to-One Institute extensively serves the US and emerging markets through strategic alliances.
One-to-One Institute is the oversight enterprise for Project RED, a groundbreaking research project aimed at demonstrating the effectiveness and revenue positive effects of ubiquitous technology in schools. As project co-author, Ms. Wilson is collecting, analyzing data points and developing the final research document.
As co-chair of the National Steering Committee of One to One Directors, Ms. Wilson facilitates the network and collaboration among one to one practitioner leaders. She has extensively authored and presented around 21st century teaching/learning/leadership, one to one best practices and research. She serves on national and state committees aimed at transforming the education industry.
As an Education Policy/Program Fellow with the Institute for Educational Leadership, Ms. Wilson facilitated the creation of an advanced fellowship program for educational technology leaders in Michigan. She completed her doctoral coursework in education leadership at the University of Michigan. She holds a master’s in instructional technology from Wayne State University, a special education administrative endorsement from Eastern Michigan University and a bachelor of science in education from the University of Michigan. Ms. Wilson was a certified adventure based counselor through Project Adventure, an offshoot of Outward Bound.
