First Digital Learning Environment Event in Austin, Texas
by Sara Martin

Joe Dockery taught the first Langauge Arts sessions in Adobe's DLE classroom at Austin, Texas February 9th:

I just pulled my laptop at the airport after attending the DLE Austin event because I wanted to share this wonderful experience with you before the glow faded. Let’s start from the beginning, as a guest speaker I was treated like a king. Communication from the event organizers was clear and concise. When I arrived at the event my room was setup and running smoothly. When I brought in my USB headsets Tech Support took them out of my hands and did all the work for me. There was a clear respect for both the speakers and the participants on behalf of the event organizers.

Everyone was friendly, professional and had a clear focus, providing an immersive learning environment for the participants. Every session today I met interested educators willing to play and experiment with the multimedia lessons just like 7th graders. From start to finish, the food was excellent, the organization was tight and the day flew by. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone in the education system that wants a fun, rich learning experience and some tasty food (we even got an entire hour to sit down, eat lunch and chat – a true luxury for the classroom teachers like me).

So if you are looking for that opportunity to step in your students shoes for a day and experience a 21st century classroom experience using the latest digital learning platforms, software and techniques, signup for an event now.
